Mean Creases

Here is a picture of a project that features the use of mean creases and a edge split modifier.  The use of the mean crease and the edge split modifier create hard edges as displayed in the photo.  The mean creases create the hard edges by decreasing the angle, and this allows the edge split modifier to create hard edges around the areas with the mean creases.
