Timing and Spacing

The importance of timing and spacing in animation is simply that without it your animations would not look realistic.  With proper timing and spacing of an object you can create realistic patterns of movement that certain objects would have.  This includes how a pendulum would react at the highest point of it's swing, and a balls hang time versus how fast it falls.  Without timing and spacing animations would look robotic and choppy.
